"I have never laid turf before and although I only had a small area, I wanted instant impact and to avoid those sad, dry old turf rolls that sit outside of the DIY shops. I looked at many online turf suppliers and am so pleased I chose Online Turf. I used the online guides for how to prepare the area and then started to unroll the turf. It was nice and green and thick (and bloody heavy!). A couple of the edges were a bit raggedy but the vast majority were beautifully cut. The turf has been down for nearly a week and I can already see where it is starting to knit together. There are a couple of patches that I will have to seed (my fault entirely) but the follow-up emails mean that I have much more confidence for looking after my lawn. It initially felt like I was paying a lot for delivery, but after seeing the price of turf in my local garden centre (and the poor quality), I think the price is actually very fair. I just wish I had more space to lay turf now because it looks so good!"

These rolls were damaged beyond repair and could not be used. Best quality top soil I have ever used, better than the rest."

"Excellent Turf, I brought 60 stadium turfs and 1 bag top soil for lawn. Only 3 rolls out of the 60 were slightly damaged ( torn). Could still use them to do the uneven edges. I should have brought 2 bags of Top soil. I had to buy extra 21 bags of topsoil ( 35ltr per bag) from home base. The grass is dark green and quickly takes root. They look great in 2 days of watering. There were a few rolls that had holes or were torn in the middle but these were used for filling in. Very impressed with the follow up emails confirming delivery was ok and reminding me to water the lawn and advice on after care eg don't walk on it until the first mow (which I will be reminded about via a further email) . So far some of the best customer service I've experienced in quite a while. "Ordered 60m2 of Stadium Turf on Thursday for delivery on Saturday. It was unloaded and in my property by 0730, which gave me plenty of time to lay it that day - absolutely brilliant! The turf was very healthy indeed with no evidence of any weeds at all and after five days it appears to be growing well. The advice and guidance from the web site certainly helped in the preparation of my garden and the actual laying of the turf. My only criticism is that about half a dozen turfs each had a ragged end where it appeared that they hadn't been cut properly and led to part of those turfs been wasted."

Superb quality turf (at much less than local and DIY stores prices) and it came with free fertiliser. Although creating a new lawn from scratch in an August heat wave was hard for us the grass did not mind and took extremely well. Follow up emails on progress and things to do next were really useful for our son as a first timer. The grass is now well established and being mown and watered regularly. My only real suggestion (not a complaint)is this; when our stadium turf arrived the under layer of grass was that dry beige colour and I kept worrying a little about the quality of it, having never laid turf before i suppose i expected it to be completely green. I reasoned with myself that this was probably normal and that it might be due to it being autumn. I was probably also scrutinizing it too much. Sure enough a week later it is already looking gorgeous. So my only suggestion really is perhaps to explain what is normal for new turf to look like when its first been laid and reassure that within a week or so it should start looking beautiful and green.
