Although spring is the best time of year due the mild, sunny weather - you can lay turf at any time of year as long, as the ground is not frozen or covered with snow.

We are based in Lancashire in a village called Aughton. We do deliver nationwide however, using a haulage network with delivery depots covering the whole of the UK.

Standard deliveries are made on an 18 tonne delivery vehicle. Generally, if a refuse truck can get down your road then we can. If you are concerned about access please give our team a call to discuss it further.

Yes, you can have your order delivered on Saturday. However, Saturday delivery has a surcharge so some customers select other days which have lower or no charges at all.

Yes, the price quoted is the all inclusive delivered price. However, some options such as delivery on specific days and times might add to this. A summary is shown to you before you make payment so you can choose what is best for you.

We can arrange for the delivery to be left without a signature, although we would need prior notice.

In the checkout section of the website you can choose your delivery day from the calendar. Some delivery days may include a surcharge but we always try to ensure that at least a couple of days a week don’t have any additional surcharges.

We cover the entire mainland UK, however our delivery lorry will need space to access your road & requires a flat, hard surface to lower the pallet on to. If you think delivery could be an issue for a full sized lorry - get in touch with the team to arrange a smaller wagon delivery on 01695 422 144

It is best to lay turf in the autumn or spring, when it is not too hot and not too cold. It can be laid in the winter, but it will take longer to root in. You can also do it in the summer but the turf must be layed the same day and watered more.

Our minimum order for delivery is 10 rolls

A unit is 1 roll of turf, or 1 square meter

You will need to use top soil if you have poor quality soil in your garden, or if the ground levels are uneven.

We deliver the turf to the kerbside of the address, using a tail-lift offload. We do not have a hiab available. The delivery needs to be made to a flat, hard standing area. Let us know if you think there may be potential access problems.

Once your order has been placed you should receive a confirmation within a few minutes. This confirmation e-mail will act as your invoice and receipt.

Unfortunately, no.

All of our prices are inclusive of delivery. We calculate delivery depending on quantity, postcode area, variety of turf and the weight of the turf. However delivery on a specific day or time can incur a surcharge which is shown clearly when you are selecting the day.

As long as your order is received before 2pm we can offer a next-day delivery service.

Laying turf is easy if it’s well-planned. We’ve provided an instruction video to make the job even easier – simply go to our home page and click on the link at the bottom of the page.

Our haulage company do not collect the pallet used for delivery, so we ask that you think of the environment when you dispose of your pallet. Your council or a local business may be able to advise on this.

Our turf is grown from a blend of rye grass & fescues, which gives the turf its aesthetic & hard-wearing qualities.

Yes, our turf is grown directly on our farm. We do not supply artificial turf.
